    1040NR Ez- Nonresident alien
Hello If I think I owe $100 that was not taken by the employer for federall tax, do I have to file? I can't quite work it out on " who must file" section of this form. I was employed as a temp at a ski resort.

Also who repsonsible for seeing thet the medicare and social security tax is correct? It's a mystery how much should have been taken. Thanks

    R-M:

Worry NOT about the Medicare and Social Security tax withholdings if the percentage work out close to 6.2% for SS and 1.45% for Medicare.

If you made more than $8,450, then you MUST file a federal income tax return (state filing requirements are probably different). If you made less, you CAN file to recover any withheld federal income taxes.
