    ETG test
Saturday I drank from 10:30pm-2:00am. I had a few swigs of crown and 5 beers at most. I am 26 year old female at 170lbs. What is the likelihood of passing my ETG?

If you have to worry about a test... why was it so important to be drinking?

When is your etg test and what is it for? The reason for asking is because different tests have different cut-offs. Probation and some jobs are more strict than those conducting the test for job hiring.

If there is zero tolerance, you may have less of a chance of passing than you would with a cut-off of 500.

I highly suggest that if you are restricted from drinking for any reason that you may want to do the responsible/adult thing in the future and not drink. It saves stress and worry when time for the next test.

I'm not sure what the cut off is. I went to a concert and just wanted to enjoy myself. I feel like it may be 100 but not sure. It's neither for probation or my job. I've read plenty saying 60 hours should be good. I'm just nervous because I don't do this.

80 hours between the test and the last drink is considered a safe bet. Many factors go into this and its only an educated average.

If its not probation or for your job... then why else would you be subjected to an EGT test? Either your employer requires it as part of the job.. or its ordered by a court. Who ordered it and why makes all the difference.

The test is today at 5:30 at the latest. I stopped drinking technically Sunday morning at 2am. And you Smoothy.. the reason why has nothing to do with anything. I didn't ask the question to tell you my life story.

Actually it does matter why... if you choose to accept it or not because THAT is what determines your cutoff level. There is no one size fits all test. But if you don't want to know an accurate answer....why ask at all. Being this evasive raises all sorts of red flags and indicates there are court ordered legal reasons behind the test, not something minor..

No. Whatever company it does through determines that. Thanks for your advice

Hate to tell you but you've got that completely wrong. The testing labs test to the levels they are contracted to test to... its not their decision to make.

The people who ordered the test to be done make that decision, and the reason for the test determines what the cutoff level will be.

The cutoff levels are determined by what test is taken. Proton/parole has a certain cutoff limit, employment applications have a different cutoff level, as does testing for Workman's Compensation.

So, you see, the reason you have to take the test really is important in order to help you properly.

If your BAC was at zero 60 hours prior to the test and the cutoff level was 500, say for maybe pre-employment testing, then your chances differ greatly than if your last drink was 60 hours prior to a test with a cutoff of 100, for some CPS, post-injury, family court or other legally ordered test.

Also, 5 beers and a "few swigs" leaves a lot of wiggle room. Consider that 1.5 oz of hard alcohol is the equivalent of one "regular" drink. So, about 5 (12oz) beers + how many drinks of hard alcohol total? Closer to 6 or more like 9 or 10 in all?

These variables really do make a difference in the final outcome.
