So I had sex and lost my virginity with my boyfriend with a condom six times in two days (we are long distance and this was the only time we would see each other for 7 more months haha) two months ago. He also "went in" without a condom may 3 or 4 times- not like sex, just going in, pulling out... doing it again a little bit later. I also gave him a blow job before this (he did wipe off with a towel but maybe he still had something on him?). My period is always irregular and my cycle long but I got my period two days after. I then got my period again last month. It was 3 days after the "projected start date" on my app but like I said my period is never regular and I can have some pretty long cycles (my cycle last month was 39 days, 34 the month before, 37 the month before, and 36 the month before that). Before my last period I got a very, very bad pain in my left shoulder that went away after a few days. But I also started having very bad lower back pain. I know that back pain is common for periods and I sometimes get it as a PMS symptom but this time it was worse than before. But it was a regular flow and lasted for as long as my periods usually do (about 6-7 days). Now, I am having all the pre-period symptoms (my period is due)-lower backache, tender breasts, cramping, the usual-but my period is late. I am now on day 39 and no bleeding. I feel like I'm just about to get it but it's not coming.

I guess my question is... is there a chance I am pregnant? My boyfriend says I'm crazy because I've already got my period twice but I've heard that it's possible to get your period and be pregnant. Or is it probably just that I'm stressed out (I'm also a college student and these past few weeks have been somewhat stressful for me) about not getting my period, so it's late? I've definitely heard that stress can delay or make you skip your period. I just don't know what is going on!

By the way, I am not on birth control. And I have shown no real signs of pregnancy. I did have a breakout when I am usually somewhat clear-faced but that can happen to anyone, especially if you're under stress and not getting a lot of sleep. The only other thing that could possibly be a pregnancy symptom is I had some very, very light cramping during the month. It could have easily been ovulation cramps. I have no idea. I just don't know what to do.

Any time a penis is inserted into a vagina pregnancy is a possibility. Considering you allowed him to penetrate you without a condom, yes that is sex no matter which way you want to spin it, you increased the risk of pregnancy.

With that said, bleeding in early pregnancy is common. Periods in pregnancy are impossible because menstruation (periods) is the shedding of the uterine lining when an egg is not fertilized.

Most likely you are not pregnant because you have had 2 cycles since your encounter. Consider yourself lucky because you are playing Russian Roulette by allowing him to enter you uncovered.

Oh, and forget the "app." It's not as reliable as you think it is. To know for certain you will have to take your basal body temperature for at least 6 months before you actually have an idea when you are ovulating.

Condoms have a 3 to 18 percent failure rate, so pregnancy using a condom is very possible. In my world, inserting the penis, even once, is sex, so without condom you also did have sex, he just did not finish. But it is possible sperm was present.

If you actually had a period, after sex, then no you are not pregnant, you can not have a period and be pregnant.

As noted, "apps" are computer guesses and are never really correct, and if your cycle has been off before, it is very possible it is now. My personal guess you are just off this month and the cycle will come in a week or so.

If you are two month late, you need to see the doctor for testing or try a pregnancy test at that point

Update: Today I took a pregnancy test that came back negative and got my period about 9 hours later.
