    Replace Lennox with AprilAir
I want to install an APRILAIR 8446 non-programmable thermostat to replace the old Lennox 51h4601 and need to know which colored wire from the old goes to which terminal letter on the new thermo. Thank you to anyone who has done this and knows.

    My current wiring is:

T-orange = Ambient Sensor (was told not to connect this wire)
L-brown = Service Light (was told not to connect this wire)
O-black = Reversing valve (goes to O/B on the 8446)??
    Y1-red = 1st stage compressor (goes to Y on the 8446)??
    E-empty = emergency heat
    C-white = common (goes to C on the 8446)??
    R-gray = power (goes to R on the 8446)??
    W1-yellow = 1st stage Aux heat (goes to w on the 8446)??
G-green = Indoor Blower (goes to G on the 8446)??

I think you have it right. Go for it! Your furnace doesn't have back up heat?
