I am going through the process to become a police officer in nyc and I was wondering weather or not I will pass this hair follicle drug test I have in two weeks.

History: I smoked with my boyfriend about 85 days ago 85 days from the day of my drug test appointment) and I only took 3-4 pulls from the blunt ,not even half of the blunt and after that I haven't smoked again.

Before that day I did smoke one more time, about1 or 2 months prior. Will I pass because I am freaking out about it and I don't know what I can do to remove the toxin from my hair if I do have anything in my hair? I am an infrequent user,

I weigh 175, 5'4 and long dark brown hair, female. Ineed advice and reassurance.

Let me understand this, you want to be a police officer, the person who is suppose to arrest drug users, and you are afraid about passing the drug test.
What about your boyfriend, are you read to put the handcuffs on him, the next time he has the drugs around you?

You should pass the test.

The last thing I would do, if I had been doing illegal drugs, is to voluntarily provide a hair sample to the police department.

That's just me, though.

There's a decent chance you'll pass. There is nothing you can do to "remove the toxins" other than cut the hair off, which is not recommended.

You should have waited until you had at least 4 to 6 months of NO DRUGS before you applied to be a police man. Hair tests go back 90 days, but if its true you are an infrequent user, you would ordinarily pass a test with ease. You still might, but why take a borderline chance that they have a zero tolerance for drugs in the first place?

You could reassure yourself with more clean time as this is for a POLICE job. The bar is likely higher than any other job, so raise your own standards also. Go visit a sick relative at the last minute, and stay clean, and put this off until you have removed all doubts, in both your own mind, and body.

Such a job choices requires complete abstinence, not infrequent.

My best non-judgmental answer goes like this. A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. For the description you gave my best guess is that there wasn't enough ingested to show positive on a hair drug test.
