    Why does aluminium and potassium nitrate not react when mixed
    I know that aluminium is less reactive than potassium but what happens to it and what is the word equation. Please explain!

    What happens to KNO3 when it dissolves? Strong acid? Strong base? Neutral pH? Look up Al2O3. What is it?
