Calculating the Price of Gas Canada vs United States?
When comparing the price of a Canadian Litre of Gas against the Price of an American Gallon.. The proper calculation if the Imperial Measurement is 4.54 litres is it Accurate to Multiply 3.78 U.S. X Cdn Litre Price. To compare prices?

The USA doesn't use the Imperial Gallon... it uses the regular gallon (they actually are a little different in Volume). Use the wrong one and your calculations will be off.

US Gallons (Liquid) to Litres 1 : 3.78541
Your price calculation is correct even if you volume isn't.

That's why US gas seems so cheap ;)
    Aren't standards wonderful...

I'm in CT. Bought propane on 1/6 for US$2.14 gallon, but I get MASS prices, because my tank is owned by a MASS company. My neighbor says that's cheaper.
I pay more because I don't own the tank.
There is no such thing as US prices overall. They vary A LOT by state. And of course, each day. Then there's the currency conversion...

Sure, you may have converted from oil at a bad time, but I think you made a good choice for the long term. I never had gas heat before now and I love it for many reasons.

PS: I can't get another delivery until my driveway is accessible, and I may be huddled around the wood stove at this rate! I decided to save money and not get plowed out.

New Brunswick Residents close to the Provincial Border of Nova Scotia do likewise as Furnace Oil is way cheaper in Nova Scotia.. lol..

10-4 On the Longer Term Outlook.. We experimented with the Comfort Level if you will dropping the Temps a couple degrees.. But we went into this Conversion knowing full well whether it was Oil being burnt or Gas it would come out about the same amount (Litres Burnt) Gas is Cheaper in Value.. And the New Furnace is far more Efficient.. Cheers..

Thanks for the Comeback.. It's knowing the Size of an American Gallon is Smaller.. It's doing a Price Comparison with the Price of a Canadian Litre and one would think, the Pricing Formula is based on 4.54 Litre Canadian Gallon.. No?? Thanks
