Replacement windows were to reduce outside noise
We just replace all the windows in our house with vinyl double pane windows with low E glass filled with argon gas. We were told that the new windows would reduce outside noise, but that has not been the case. Our previous windows were single pane with attached storm windows which actually kept the noise level lower than these new windows. Are there any kind of glaze for noise reduction or any suggestions?

Putting the storms up again would help. Also, heavy drapes would reduce the noise (and the light).
