    Noisy toilet
    When I flush my upstairs toilet it makes an awful noise in the pipes if I turn the taps on it helps

    Hi Ladyfish

    Most likely you have an issue with sediment stuck up inside the toilet fill valve, or you have an issue at the toilet water shut off valve. Here, sediment or a loose or torn washer can cause chatter and other noises like you describe.     I agree with mark you have problem fill valve or the toilet angle valve angle, please see the images below and check you toilet tank which fill valve do you see, thanks.
