Vaginal infection?
Hello, I've been experiencing vaginal issues for about a month now. I am worried and have no idea what to do.
I have a boyfriend, and about three weeks after we had sex for the first time, I was experiencing a lot of pain (not constant) and had a very hard time urinating cause of the pain. I had the urge to urinate a lot more frequently then usual and my vagina felt, often, very uncomfortable. There was also occasionally, a burning and an itching sensation inside my vagina. At first, I thought it was a urinary tract infection since there was no unusual odour or discharge. But when I told a friend of mine she told me it could be a yeast infection, so I took her advice and went and did the treatment recommended. It helped and got a lot better over the first few days, I did the treatment while in my period and happened to accidentally miss a day. But I felt better, but now it came back along with a few different problems an less pain, the discomfort is still present, and the uncomfortable feeling when urinating (not as bad as he first time), the frequent urge and very little comes out. But this time I have discharge and an unpleasant smell (not fishy-like). It is thick, white and creamy, but on white tissue it looks yellow. I feared having some sort of STD, but my partner has not had any symptoms or anything. I would really appreciate some help considering that this condition makes me feel embarrassed and dirty. Thank you.

Hi!
I would recommend getting tested for STDs/STIs. There are a few of them out there where one partner could be asymptomatic and passes it along to their partner. It would be important for both of you to get checked out. Your partner should be checked for thrush as well, which is a yeast infection for him around his penis.
Until this has been checked out and a good answer given, I would recommend that you don't engage in further sexual activity. Just out of curousity, what sort of birth control did you use? If any?

You do know don't you that you do not urinate through your vagina, but through your urethra. When you have a UTI, the urine burns and irritates the whole area. A symptom of urinary tract infection is infrequent and difficult urination.
You seem to have a lot going on there from both orifices. Get to a doctor soon!

For 3-5 days, my vulva was itching but the discharge was normal, watery. Yesterday itching was almost gone but the discharge was a little yellow and like cottage cheese, odorless and more than usual. Today the discharge is considerably less. What is it? Whatever it is, is it getting better?
