    What causes a condencer fan motor change direction yet was running nomally before?
    Condenser fan motor was running normally before.when set temperature was achieved,both motor and compressor were were off for awhile.on coming on again the compressor failed and condenser fan motor changed direction of rotation.after four minutes compressor came on and motor an normally.
    What does this imply?? YOUR HELP WILL HIGHLY BE APPRECIATED

    My first inclination would be a bad capacitor, especially if it is a dual capacitor.
