    Can the Lung cancer treatment causes other problems such as heart, kidney damage/disease, or fertility problems?

    I work in oncology and it very much depends on what chemotherapy regimen is prescribed as well as your personal medical history. There are many combinations and dosages of treatment, all depending on your lung cancer type, stage and if you have any comorbidities. Chemotherapy is a very personalized thing, so a generalized response is difficult to give.

    However, assuming you haven't done so yet, you will receive a "teaching" appointment from your doctor's office to go over these concerns with you before treatment begins. Fertility preservation is something you could explore. Write down any questions you may have so when you have the opportunity to discuss them with your provider, you won't forget anything.
