    People ignore me at school
I'm not exactly being bullied in school people don't shove me in the halls, punch me, tease me or say bad stuff about me. I'm currently in 10th grade in high school and people in my classes tend to ignore me or pretend I'm not there like I'm invisible. People don't really talk to me and I feel left out of the crowd people don't seem to notice me.

I can say that I have 3 friends but I don't have ANY classes with them at all. I only get to seem them at lunch time and that's it. I'm tired of being ignored and left out at school. Why don't people ever notice me?

Are you more of a quiet person or do you openly chat to others? Are you comfortable starting conversations? Do you speak up in your classes, ask questions, talk to other people first? Even though you don't have classes with your friends, do you get a chance to see them, such as at lunch?

Maybe find a couple of people that you sit by in each class and be the one to start a conversation. Smile when they walk in, casually ask if they had a good weekend, happened to see "......" movie, if they've ever eaten at "......" and how was the food, how did they do on the last test or project, think of something you could ask about that is going on in your local area.

Most people in high school, and many adults for that matter, are thinking more about what they are going to be doing next, something they need to get done, does their boyfriend or girlfriend still like them, etc. People often are more focused on things that involve them than they are on noticing other people. Sometimes you have to be the one to make the first move... and you may have to make it several times. Don't let one or two attempts that give you little or no result deter you from continuing.

High school can be cliqueish and kids can be snobs. But are you aware that it takes two to get started on friendliness? Do you walk down the halls, smiling at some people and saying hi, even if you are just passing by? Do you say a compliment to the person who sits next to you in class, 'nice shirt, 'I like your hair that way,' or make small talk about the teacher?

Saying you are ignored is a very loaded statement. Ignored means that you make friendly overtures and they IGNORE you and walk the other way. If they just don't NOTICE you, that's on you to change it.
