    Dimensions of a Y-strainer?
I have to recreate a Y-strainer in CAD, I was assigned a 6-inch model, and I am having trouble understanding what part of it is six inches. The diagram I am working off has generic measurements, and there is a spec sheet attached with some exact dimensions of the different sized pipes, but none of them list the diameter of the pipe, the diameter of the flanges, the diameter of the filter and cap, etc. Is there a way I can figure this out? Which part of the "6-inch Y strainer" is six inches?

If you Google "Y strainers" you will find a lot examples with dimensions. Eaton has some good graphics. Maybe you can use some of these.
