Can I pass EtG after 30 hours after last drink?
I drank 3 beers 4.0% ABV today from 1:15pm-2:15pm. I am a 24 year old 6'2" male, 205 lbs and in good shape. I run about 3 miles a day and lift weights a few times a week. I need to test tomorrow by 9:00pm. It will have been 30 hours since my last drink. Do you think I will pass?

Probably not. What happens if you fail? Lesson learned?

I am on paper right now (non-alcohol related crime) and I get regular drug and alcohol tests. I risk violating my probation if I get caught drinking. I know it was a poor decision but I feel like it is mine to make. Just trying to see if anyone else has had similar situations and what the outcome was. And yes, I know the only way to guarantee a negative test is to not drink, I am an adult who understands cause and effect as well as moral judgements so if you have any comments judging me or my situation and do not directly relate to or help clarify my question, please withhold them to yourself.

    Thanks.

Don't be so defensive my friend. Fact is I know of a few who have passed (and were greatly relieved), and of that group some failed miserably down the line and repeated the bad behavior because they didn't learn the lesson the first time.

Some had to retest, and some had added conditions. So you see no one can predict an individual's test results, or what the powers that be will do about it. It's up to you to see and correct your own behavior, without thinking people are judging you, because you are taking responsibility for your actions, and decisions that not only got you in the situation, but may keep you in it, or make it worse.

We sympathize with your fear and stress over this, but don't expect anyone, especially those of us who have walked in your shoes to coddle and encourage you. Just remember the worry, and stress (and shame of just not doing the right thing as you were told and avoided all this other crap) and make better choices.

Good luck whatever the outcome, but lose the defensive attitude. Like you say, you did this to yourself. No one wants you to repeat this experience.
