Can a probation officer kick me out of my own home?
Can a probation officer break my lease? I live with a buddy of mine that I rent a room from and have a legal rental lease signed by both of use? Now my buddy was ordered to be on probation, so his probation officer ordered my buddy to throw me out, and I have no where to go. Now, with having a rental lease am I still by law have to be giving 30 days to move, or can the probation officer overrule that and just through me out on the streets?

Later - I just noticed that it is HIS PO who wants you kicked out! That's a bit different. What is your status with the law that would cause this? We need more facts, and a timeline of when things happened. Or did you change your post???

I don't think his PO can take away your rights, but he can make it hard on your buddy while you live there.

No, the PO can't just throw you out. In fact, your buddy cannot just give you a 30-day notice either; assuming the lease is valid and has not been violated by you, you cannot be evicted until the expiration date in the lease.

If your buddy can't associate with you because of his probation, then HE will have to move. His PO can order that he not live with you, but he can't force you to move since you are a signer on the lease.

The PO can make your friend move, but his PO can not do anything to you
