    Atypical Pap Smear
    Just received results of my pap smear which were Atypical Squamous cells undetermined with HPV negative. Never had a abnormal pap smear. Clinic wants to retest in 12 months. Should I be concerned?

    Considering that it is HPV negative, I wouldn't be too concerned. Abnormal cells just mean that there could be something wrong, but it is too early to tell and it could probably be nothing, but we're just going to make sure and check again on the follow up.

    I really wouldn't be too concerned.

    Try not to be concerned. They are not having you return for a full year, so it apparently is nothing very unusual or that may need further evaluation.
