My pump keeps trying to turn on and off -all day even with no water running I have already replaced the switch box on the pump and it's still doing the same thing thank you in advance

You have a leak somewhere. Could be as simple as a leaking toilet. Can you turn off the water to the house? If so, then do that and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then the leak is in the house or in the pipe leading to the house. If the problem continues, then you are looking at a leaking checkvalve, footvalve, or wellpipe. A couple of questions:

1. Is the pump in the well or above ground?
2. If the pump is above ground, how many pipes go into the well, one or two?
3. About how often, in minutes, does the pump cut back on?
