    Hampton Bay Remote Replacement
Can I replace a Hampton Bay ceiling fan remote now operating only to turn on Medium speed, not to turn off the fan, by purchasing a new remote and programing the four dips in the same off position? Can I replace my non reverse controlling remote with one that has that control? Specifically, I would like to replace my old remote that shows no model number but looks very similar to Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Reverse Remote Control UC7078T with that new model. Or will replacement of the receiver in the ceiling fan be required? Thanks.
