    Don't make another post, add to your original. Saddle valves are not allowed in many locations because of leaks. Get a 3 way compression angle stop for the size of the pipe. Install the stop in line after cutting out the section with the hole. Then connect the water line for the refrigerator to the side fitting. Hole fixed and no leaks.
