    Tight dresses, flat chest
In a weeks time I have to do a school play in which I am the princess. But I have a problem with my wedding dress. The dress I have to wear as my wedding dress is tight enough to make it look like I have a flat chest and it looks terrible. I am very self conscious about me having smaller breasts than everyone else in our class but its never really noticed... until I put this dress on!
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how I could go to make my chest look not so flat so I don't embarrass myself.
    Please and Thanks :) xx

    Padding ?

But you really need to accept the fact, at this point anyway, you may have smaller breasts. Be proud of who you care and the body you were given.

Talk to your mother or the teacher directing the play. There is likely some padding you can use. It would help to know how old you are.

Not much time, but a slight alteration to the dress might be possible if it is uncomfortably tight.

If it is more the design of the dress, perhaps a different bra could be used. Padded, underwire, or a push-up bra might work.

If the cut is one that you can't wear a bra, you can also find breast support pads that have adhesive for under your breasts to give some lift and added fullness.

Has anyone else said it looks terrible or is this about your perception? If you haven't, you need to get the impression of other people.

This is something you need talk to the person doing wardrobe, the director, and, maybe, your mother. (I know you have/had a 15 year old boyfriend so I am guessing you are about the same age.) It may be the director wants you to look a certain way and the dress is fitting correctly.

Depending on the cut of the dress, you may not be able to add padding or adding padding may not help. However, if there is enough time, perhaps the dress can be altered or another solution found if the adults involved agree with your perception. The solution may be as simple as trying a different bra or adjusting straps.

One thing to think about is do you want to look like yourself or have everyone notice the padding and joke about it?

Thanks everyone I will try and find some padding. I asked my mother and she said it doesn't matter (what mothers have to say). I have asked someone else and they have agreed that they look very flat, but I can not talk to the director as he doesn't have any other dresses for me to wear.
I think I'll ask my sister who has just gotten home, as she usually has things like this laying around.
    Thank you again :)xx

Just another thought, is the dress designed that way? There have been periods in time when fashion would emphasize breasts but also when the fashion was to de-emphasize them on purpose. Having a compressed bosom was the in thing.

You still NEED top talk to the director. Not to ask for a different dress, but to approve any modifications you make to the dress you were assigned.
