I have a basement sewer ejector pump that stopped working. It services one basement bathroom. I pulled the pump and it appeared to have some sort of rope wrapped around the impeller. I removed it and the impeller seems to turn freely. Now when you plug it in I can hear a humming but it still...

Ok I've been reading similar posts, I want to try to at least check this on my own... B4 calling a plumber! But I'm nervous! The basement bathroom is RARELY used... But with 3 small kids I wouldn't be surprised if there is indeed a toy or something blocking the propellers... Does one simply unscrew...

Recently noticed a backed up toilet in the basement, did a little research, and realized it's probably the sewage ejector pump, now I have the top off, vacuumed out, but can't get to the impeller because it's connected to a pipe... cleaned out stuff best I can. But does anyone have any advice on...

For the past couple of weeks we notice the sewage pumb when it shuts down it shakes the pipes. You hear it start and than a second later you hear it finish but it rattles the pipes. Everything looks OK... Just doesn't sound OK
