    One does NOT "file" for child abandonment. Child abandonment is generally a criminal offense for leaving a child without adult supervision. If that is the case it should be reported to Family Services and/or the police.

    But I suspect what you want is to file for a change in custody or visitation and use child abandonment as grounds for that.

    I will agree with Scott, that you are looking to use this, in a civil case, against a ex partner. But you need to give more details. If you are discussing criminal issues, call the police and report
