    I am just wondering if I can use a 3/4 hp control box on a 1/2 hp submersible pump

    Horsepower, phase, and voltage should match between the control box and the pump.

    What is in the control box? Is new pump the same (2-wire or 3-wire) as the pump that was replaced?

Our pump turned on and was building pressure, kicked the breaker, and has not restarted. I first changed the breaker, no luck. Then I changed the pressure switch, same result. I'm wondering how to check the control box before spending money on that.
