It's not the Hope Diamond but think it's in disposal elbow?
Okay, not my brightest moment but I heard a small "boink" in the sink as I turned the disposal on. I assumed it was a small pebble BUT, later found a diamond from my bracelet had fallen out. Deducing now it was the diamond, not huge or weighty, do you think there is any probability it may be in the elbow joint of the disposal OR should I simply stop obsessing and get on with my life!!

MIGHT be in the P trap but would most likely have been ground up if it was small.

I hope you didn't use water after your diamond dropped into the sink.

Diamonds are heavy. There is a good chance it is sitting on the bottom of the trap - as indicated in Afaroo's visual above.
