    Breast Infection
I had a breast infection right after I had my baby. I Took 2 rounds of antibotics given to me by my doctor. I went back to see her because my breast was still hurting. She sent me to the ER to have it drained bur they never drained it and sent me home. It doesn't hurt now but it looks different from the other one and its kind of hard. Should I be worried?

Did your doctor give you a directive to give to ER? You must tell your doctor this.

Was this an abscess that needed to be drained or mastitis? As tickle said, be sure to check with your doctor, although it's likely that they had already contacted your doctor. What did the people in the ER say it was? Is the entire breast hard, as in being engorged, or just one area? Are you still breastfeeding?
