I have to install tile in the shower area. There is a window and I am concerned by the aesthetic of the finished project. Since the window is at eye level, I was thinking about starting the tiling at the base of the window and cut the tiles at the bottom. What do you think?

I got a “Closet Flange Extension Kit” from Home Depot and it has 2 rings. One is ¼ inch and the other is a ½ inch; so basically I want to know which one to use. The current/original flange that is installed on the sub-floor is level with the top of the tile. The tile is just that 12” square...

I am flooring in the basement bathroom and need to be able to set the toilet at a higher level. The flange part of the flange has been removed - there is now a pipe with the tubular part of the flange glued into it. How do I install a new flange with the appropriate extensions?
