    Smear test
    Hi. 2 weeks ago I had smear test. Today I've got letter from hospital with new appointment for scan -US Pelvis. They didn't say anything about results just appointment in 2 weeks. What this mean?

    It means that your doctor wants to check things a bit further with an ultrasound. Perhaps there were some irregularities in your pap smear results. It is not uncommon, and often due to a minor issue that is easily resolved. Of course they will check things carefully to be certain, as anything of concern would need to be taken care of.

    Best to give your doctor's office a ring and ask about your results.

    Agree, somewhat common if some reading did not seem correct. But your doctor would have ordered the test, so asking them, would be the best things
