    My doorbell light button keeps going out
    This is my 11th doorbell that I have replaced including transformer in a 6 month period. Transformer I bought from Lowe's which is 16 volts and still went out again last night. I am very confused and ready to just cover doorbell hole...

    Obviously some voltage issue one would expect. Measure voltage at the bell. Why do you need a lit button? I would just get a wireless unit and forget the voltage and wiring.

    What is the voltage of the chime? What is voltage of button? Could they be 24V?
