The engine cuts off after making several rounds of cut in the yard. It is like when it gets hot, it just shuts off an won't crank. I wait several hours, then it will start back up and then do the same thing. Have changed all the filters, spark plugs, etc... any ideas?

Usually the "won't start until it cools" description applies to a bad ignition.

Check gas cap make sure it can breath. Also check oil. Older carbs needle valves wear out gets gas in oil.

Once had one with bad carb solenoid wireing. Somehow once got hot solenoid shut tractor down. Did everything so we cut the needle off solenoid and put shut off valve on fuel line. We changed everything. But this finally worked
