How do you replace the valve stem
We were replacing the Valve supply and when screwing in the pipe cracked, how do you replace from the line to where the valve supply goes in? Im guessing the valve stem? Can you cut the copper pipe replace with new pipe or is there a simpler fix? We have a Laundry box left hot water, center drain pipe and right cold water.

    Thank you,
    Shannan

I am guessing that you mean the supply stop valve.

Don't see how you could have cracked the copper fitting. If the stop valve is PVC you could have cracked the valve if the valve is a female fitting.

I will take a picture and post it later on when I get home. He unscrewed the supply valve, replaced with new one when screwing in Im guessing he screwed it in too much and it cracked. It is a copper line no pvc.

Yes, post a pic. If the valve screws in to a copper fitting then is guess its possible to crack the fitting but he (I assume Hubby) must be one strong dude. If the valve screw on to the fitting he might be able to crack the valve, but again he would have to be awfully strong. Chances are that something got cross threaded. Regardless it can be fixed.
