    Inheritance from another country
    My family and I will be receiving inheritance in the amount of $50,000. We will be taxed by the country it is coming from, but I was wondering if and how much we will be taxed in n.y.

    Neither NY nor the US federal government have an inheritance tax, so you will owe no taxes to either of them.
