    Windward 56 Hampton Bay fan
I have a windward 56" hampton bay fan that suddenly the light does not turn on.
I contacted Home Depot warranty service center and they first sent me the light kit; although I explained them that that was not the part to replace because I took that part to a fan store here in PR and they showed me that the part was working properly. They told me that it was a module called receiver that had to be changed. So I contacted again the Home Depot warranty service and explained them and supposedly they sent me the part but now I'm looking at the part and it says it's the it's the FAN SPEED CONTROL. Then I imagine that this only is a part that controls the speed of the fan and not the light.
Can you please help me and tell me what is the name of the part that has to be changed. Its annoying not to have proper light in my room.
Thank you for any help or advice you can give me.

A receiver is the remote control. Is that what you are looking for?

I had the same problem with yjis same light and ceiling fan combination. I was told by a Home Depot employee in the lighting department to take the fixtures down and return then for new fixtures. They can replace the module but they have had no luck receiving replacement parts for this make and model ceiling fan and ligh combination. The new part is of poorer quality than the original. I replaced both fixtures and have had no problems since. Good Luck.
