    Oil pressure
    I have 1996 S10 truck notice the oil pressure go up to 80 psi,I've always seen it about 45.I'm not going that fast when it shoots up.Is this a dangerous or check oil pump? I'd like to keep my old hooptie.

    Check the oil pressure with a known good mechanical oil pressure gauge. Oil pressure which is too high can blow out seals. Make sure you are using the proper viscosity engine oil, likely 5W-30 or 10W-30.
