Swap parts 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager 3.3 se/ 2000 Dodge Grand Grand Caravan 3.3 se
I have a 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager3.3 se with a head gasket problem 190,000 miles that I fixed with blue devil. I heard about a car 2000 Grand Caravan 3.3 se with 84,000 miles broken strut and it failed emissions test because of oxy something for $700. Can I switch the parts between the two vehicles and get a better ride with back up parts. I would have to risk 250.00 because the junk yard will give me 450 for it. One problem its located out of town. It is the original owner said they never had trans problems and that is when I started to have trans problems.I have a rebuilt in mine with 30,000 miles on it.

If the parts and trans swap does it seem like a good idea?

Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal. Easy to replace the broken strut and oxygen sensors. If you go forward, be sure to change all of the fluids, including engine oil and filter, transmission fluid and filter, brake fluid, and power steering fluid. It is likely better than what you have--just check it out carefully.
