I have been asked to partake in a hair folical test for alcohol by a drug court supervisor. I have no problem doing so for I have not had a drink in many months 6 or so.But I can not find any one in the states that seem reliable that performs these tests any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Its usually not an "Invitation" by a court and you don't usually get to pick when or WHO does the testing. THey tell you when and where and you aren't given a choice of IF either..

I should also mention that they are sking me to pay for this test so it needs to be reasonably priced $500.00 or less.

Just so you are aware... this is an international site, and I doubt (as an example) you will be flying from Hawaiii to Maine to have a test done... its going to be one in your area. Wherever that may be.

I didn't know that you could test for ETG and FAEEs in hair samples. I always thought it was too transitory to be deposited in the hair.

So first off, the proper way to spell Follicle is F-O-L-L-I-C-L-E . This will help in your internet searches. Second I would contact the court that is inviting you do this test to supply a list of testing facilities that are approved by them for this test. It would a pain to go and spend $500 at Billy Bob's house of Prohibited Substance Testing to have the results reject because the government can't vet the results as being accurate and truthful.

There isn't really much that can be done here, you're going to need to take the initiative and find a place that they'll accept. Also, Stay away from "Billy Bob's House of Prohibited Substance Testing", they're not that good of a Drug Testing Lab.
