    High water and sewer bill
Our water and sewer bill indicates that we used 948 cu. feet of water in 24 hours time. Is it possible for a toilet to leak that much water if it is continuously running?

How did they determine this was in a 24 hour period? Meters show a usage as in how much water passes through the meter... the only way a specific period can be known is to read it between those two points of time.

Where is this that they measure water in cubic feet.....where I've lived they measure it in gallons. Natural gas useage is measured in cubic feet.

948 cu ft equals 7091.53246753296 gallons. That's 295 gallons per hour. WOW!!

    Maybe you meant a month?

I wondered about your cubic ft. "measurement". The toilet would have to be on a broken 2" water line. Don't think your numbers add up.

A 7091 .04 gallon loss of water in 24 house is a lot of water. Did you hear anything running? Are you still using water on the meter without running anything in the house? What checking have you done? Is the
City involved and what do they say? Back to you, Tom
