    Puppy ate a piece of a xanax
    My wife dropped a 1 milligram xanax & my 20 lb. 12 week old Staffordshire puppy snatched it up, is it an emergency situation ?

    Is this an emergency situation, because I know they prescribe dogs xanax but he's still young

    Dogs are prescribed xanax as well for the same disorders we take them, BUT the dosage would be far different, don't know exactly.

    Phone your vet, tell him what you stated here. I don't think there is anything to worry about at this point, but please call your vet to make sure, and what side effects you might see.

    Bet the dog is sleeping a lot, it will slowly go through the system.
