    Transmission problems on 99 ford explorer sport
    I have a 99 ford explorer sport and when I put it in gear it acts like it wants to go but it don't go , it will go in low 1 and will move but not the other gears what could it be

    . Check for codes.

    . Check the fluid level, color, and smell. If it's brown or smells burnt, you are likely looking at a rebuild or replacement. The transmission's pan and magnet should be dropped and cleaned, filter changed, and refilled with Mercon V ATF every 30,000 miles.
