How to get back in good standing with the DOT
My son is a diesel truck mechanic. He failed a pre-employment test for Marijuana. Does the prospective employer send this info to the DOT? Is that State or Federal?

He has now been clean for 2 months. What steps does he need take to get back into good standing with the DOT? If he apples for jobs with other DOT-regulated employers, is his name on some kind of a blacklist or something that the DOT-regulated employers access? How does this system work?

Does the DOT blacklist him forever?

    Thanks,
    EB

Normally the employer does not notify anyone, Why do you feel, he is in bad standing with DOT.

    There is no black list.
