    Garnishee
Hi, I work for a cash loan business. Our client owes us money since 2008, and we served a garnishee order at his employer, which they deducted money for 2 months, but employee was then fired. I found his new employer and still need to collect our money. Do I need to get a totally new Emolument or is the one I got before still good?

    Thanks

It's going to depend on the law of whichever state or country you are in. I wonder how a cash loan business can possibly function without having an attorney on retainer. You should ask your attorney.

Generally, a writ of garnishment has to include the name of the company being served. So yes, you probably do need to go back to the court that issued the judgment and get a new writ.

Agreed, normally, by most laws I am familiar with, you will go back to court and name the new employer
