I took hydrocodone for my back, it is prescribed. I took 6-325/7.5 for 3 days as prescribed by my doctor. Last day I took them was Friday and had a random drug test Wednesday. Will I fail? I know I have a prescription but it just looks bad to have a dirty UA.

What was the drug test for? Employment? Probation?

Is this for work or the court? Both may make you retest if you submit your legal subscription, and fail because of the meds you took. Its always recommended when you have a drug test coming to tell your doctor so he can prescribe a different type of pain medications.

4 days after 3 days of use shouldn't put you over any limit but it's borderline.

It's for work, we do randoms so I never know when

If you have a prescription, you may be able to get out of it by showing the script bottle.

I agree with the other responses. I would add that it is best to inform your employer AND give them a copy of the rx BEFORE you test. That way they know you are being honest, no matter the result of the test.
