Will interning increase my chances of getting a job as a probation officer?
I live in America & I am majoring in Psychology or Social Worker in the hope of becoming a Probation Officer or a Parole Officer. There is this organization in my city that offers jobs and internships that centers around Juvenile and Criminal Justice. I know the field of study I impacted and there are probably a lot of others applying there as well. In the state I live in there are entry level job positions for Probation Officers, but there are some jobs that require experience. While it's not mandatory pervious experience in a related field could help.

A good idea would be to contact the places you'd like to apply for employment. Ask if they have internships and if they hire the applicants who were previously interns there, or not.
