    No water supply
Hi Folks, I have been replacing my bathroom suite and I turned off all the water supplies in the house, now that the new suite is in when I turned on all the water again there was only water coming into the kitchen cold water tap and only a small amount going into the cistern and other taps in the bathroom. There is also no water getting into the boiler. All the valves that I turned off are back on so why isn't there any water pressure and water flowing like before I switched everything off? Hope this makes sense!

    Hi Kushty

Either a shut off valve has yet to be opened (you would not be the first person to miss a valve they closed long back), or a shut off valve or inlet/outlet is probably clogged. Here, I suggest starting at the first shut off valve and disassembling if needed to confirm water at each shut off valve and follow along until you find the problem/clog. Start there... post back as questions pop up, OK?

I suspect that your main valve is a gate valve and the gate has separated from the stem due to corrosion. When you opened the main valve did the handle just keep turning?

Thanks for answers, don't think it's corrosion at any gate valves. I'll try and see if there's any valves that need unclogged.
