Help. My toilet bowl flushes fine the first couple of times but on the 3rd or 4th flu
    Hi,

My toilet bowl flushes fine the first couple of uses but on the 3rd or 4th flush in a short period it doesn't drain all the way. Water level is fine and the bathroom sink and bathtub drain fine. If it is not used for a while then the toilet will flush fine again. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!! Vinnie

Sound like you have a partial drain in the main line. It can hold only so much water before it fills up. Open the cleanout in the yard and see if water is flowing when a toilet is flushed.

In addition to ma0641's advice: make sure when you flush for the 3rd and 4th time, the tank is completely refilled. If you try to flush with only 1/3 full tank than it won't flush as it should...

I agree with Brian. The clog sounds like it's a good way out there since it takes more then one flush to make it back up the line. Here's what I would do. The first thing I would check is the outside house clean out. Open it up and have someone flush the toilet 4 or5 times letting the tank fill between flushes. If you get water back into t6he clean out that's where you snake from. I the clean out remains clear and the toilet still acts up after multipul flushes pull the toilet and snake from there. Good luck, Tom
