I had unprotected sex last Friday (I believe it was on the 27th) and I got the plan b pill only because I wasn't sure if anything came in me. Today is the 4th of July, and it happened again. Only difference is that I know that my boyfriend came in me this time.. so I bought another plan b pill. I was going to take it after showering but first I had to use the bathroom. When I was wiping myself I realized I had blood. I think it's because I might be on my period. Which means I obviously started today, and I didn't know about it until now. Right now I'm really sketched out. DID THE PLAN B PILL WORK EVEN AFTER USING IT ALREADY NOT TO LONG AGO? AND ON TOP OF THAT BEING ON MY PERIOD?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEAAAAAASE HELP ME OUT.

Plan B, is not for regular use. It has possible side effects.. Taking it often, can cause even more side effects.

Plan B has to be taken within 72 hours of sex. The longer you wait to use it.. the less effect it has.

1. he does not have to finish inside of you, for you to get pregnant, there is possibility of sperm in the early fluids, so anytime, he enters you... there is chance of pregnancy.

2. Plan B does not protect against STD

3. plan B is not 100 percent effective. So pregnancy can happen

4. spotting can be sign of pregnancy. But also a side effect of Plan B

5. is it time for your period ? When is it due.

6. no plan B will not really have effect a few days later, on new sexual act.

7. While they have a failure rate, you should at least be using condoms for your own protection, Also if you plan on regular sex, you need to start another form of birth control.

This is a roulette game you are playing. Plan B is not for casual after sex use. "It happened again" What about the 3rd time? Get smart. Did it work? Who knows, you did get a period, or so you think.

You can get pregnant on your period... there is no real "safe" time.

First plan B will not stop pregnancy from new sex.

Taking a second plan B so soon, can cause health risks.

The bleeding, or "spotting" may or may not be your period. Only you will know that. It could be from implantation from first sex act, and plan B did not work.
It could be from Plan B, one of the side effects,
Or it could be your period starting.

Plan B is not 100 percent, so you can not even be sure, it worked for the first sex act.

As was said, do not use Plan B as a regular form of birth control... it is not as effective as being on regular daily birth control pills, and there are potential risks with overuse. You and your boyfriend really need to discuss appropriate forms of birth control that you will BOTH use so that you can lessen the worry of a possible unplanned pregnancy.

The Plan B may have worked just fine, but you will have to wait and see what happens with your period in August now. The bleeding you have now may be from the first use of Plan B as it can cause irregular bleeding. IF it didn't work with the first use, and you did happen to become pregnant from sex on the 27th, the second Plan B would not effect a pregnancy, and the first Plan B will not protect you from the sex on the 4th.....too much time has lapsed. However, odds are in your favor that you did not become pregnant.

If the bleeding you are having is your period, Plan B would not be effected. If you haven't taken the second Plan B, thinking that you are safe because you might be on your period, take it today as an additional precaution.

Again, you'll have to see what happens with the next period... and do be sure to talk to your boyfriend about other forms of birth control, including his using a condom correctly. YOU are the one who will have to deal with a possible pregnancy, so YOU need to be the one to make sure everything is covered (literally) and you are protected to at least lower the chance.

You don't really get it do you? There is NO way for any of us to answer your questions without a thorough physical exam.

Is the bleeding your period or a side effect? We can't tell you, we call only tell you that it could e a side effect or it could be your period.

Did the first dosage affect your second sex act? That was answered.

If you do not want to be pregnant, then you need to educate yourself about the risks, how various methods of birth control work and how your body works.
