    Overheating engine cools when revved
My 03 sequoia is overheating when it sits and idles for longer than 5 minutes. If I rev it to 2500 rpm it will cool. No issues when driving, just when at idle

Check the fit of the shroud around the radiator. Ensure the cooling system is purged of all air. Check your Owner's Manual on how to drain and refill the cooling system--follow the directions exactly. Verify that the cooling fan is working properly, including the engine coolant temperature switch.
