Harbor breeze fan has been operating for about 2 years then stopped. Ligts in fan still working but fan blades dosen't rotate. Changed batteries in remote no help. Suggesstions.

My fan is the tebron garden ceiling fan which worked fine with all speeds until one week ago when For some reason the direction of the fan blades was changed by the chain. When returned to the Desired direction only one speed functioned.
The remote works fine. It can control the fan very well but we are unable to turn the light on or off using the remote. This is happening on two of the three fans we have installed. We bought a house with this feature we can't get to work properly.
I have a harbor breeze triton ceiling fan. The remote(transmitter) will dim the light but not turn completely off plus fan will not work at all. Changed 9v battery but still the same.
