I have read the other posts about the condenser fan stopping. My question is that my fan will stop spinning for some reason, then we shut the unit down after awhile we will start the unit up again and it begins to spin again, but then it stops again after about 30 minutes or so. Can this just be...
Should the condenser fan stop spinning? I hear condenser running? Outside temp is below 40f. Changed compacitor 3 weeks ago. Could this unit just be in defrost mode since it's cold outside or should fan always spin/work when thermostat is set to heat/cold?
Tried a new fan motor first, did the same thing. Replaced capacitor, did the same thing. Could it be compressor?
I have central air and after the air has been on awhile, the condenser fan stops running. The outside unit is still on because it makes a bit of a racket, just no longer the fan. Hello, My condenser unis is outside and the Fan kick starts fine when the unit turns on... but then after few minutes the condenser Fan (outside) stops... AC unit continues to run thus only resulting in pumping the hot air... It is happening over and over again... I am in Plano, Texas......
