Two toilets won't flush same time
Dear Sir, I have two toilets, they both appear to have a clog, but I seldom use the second toilet, so it makes me believe they are connected in some way and perhaps one clog is affecting both toilets. We tried a plunger and a snake without luck. I believe the clog may be because of too many flushable wipes. As an experiment, I filled the bathtub with water and when it drained (slowly) it push bubbles in the toilet . As of this writing I have poured a gallon of vinegar and a cup of Borax in each toiliet, thinking this might disolve the clog of flushable wipes, no luck so far, can you suggest some safe chemicals that I might buy that might disolve clogs, I have dislodged clogs in sinks with vinegar baking soda and denture cleaners. I doubt that will work in toilet. Please let me know, I cannot afford a plumber. I am not on a septic tank.
    Thanks
    Jan

Why not use a product made for the purpose, such as Drano?

I disagree! As a repair plumber I have never recommended using harsh chemicals. In your drainage system. Besides they only seem to work in TV commercials and when you try to remove the water you could burn your hands or damage your eyes.

    Hi jaNPearl.
I don't care what the advertisement say the only things that should go down your toilet is human waste and toilet paper.
You have blockage downstream from the bathroom fixtures. The solution would be to get a power snake from Home Depot or Lowe's and snake the drain lines. You have options here.
1- Pull a toilet and snake the line from there. If that doesn't clear both of them post the other toilet and snake that too.
2-you can snake each lavatory roof vent. Put out enough snake to reach the base and 15 more feet. Good luck, Tom
